Ever wondered what is the difference between DFF Toon Lit, Lit, and Unlit?
These three shaders have different ways of handling lighting, shadows, and the overall look of the model. Choosing the right one can greatly affect how a skin mod looks in-game.
I've prepared a comparison image to show the differences between them. Click the thumbnail image to zoom in and see the details more clearly.
Hopefully this can help you understand which DFF version fits your mod style better.
Additional Information:
I'm currently considering deprecating the Unlit version (formerly known as Shadeless) in future releases.
The main reason is that Unlit is only suitable for the vanilla game. Modern shaders do not support it at all, making it no longer practical for current graphics setups.
Even I never use the Unlit version myself, so removing it would help improve efficiency and simplify future maintenance.
